Realisation of D.4.1 Online Debate with Policy Makers

With the contribution of all project partner organizations, a series of online debates on Youth Policy took place during project implementation. This was a unique opportunity for young leaders to exchange their opinions about their role and the activities carried out in WP 3 with the EU with experts and practitioners.

All debates have been developed by project partners. They run from April 2024 to September 2024. Two of them were organized in English, and two of them were in the local languages (Greek and Romanian) to include more local policymakers.

The most crucial aspect to be underlined is the engagement of local institutions with funds and means for support.

The first online debate of the EuropEdges project, hosted by ECRRED on April 30, 2024, was conducted in English and centred around the theme of youth empowerment and the role of young people in shaping policies across diverse European regions. The goal was to engage young leaders, policymakers, and experts in meaningful dialogue, fostering a deeper understanding of how youth can actively participate in policy-making and drive positive change in their communities and throughout the EU. It involved around 50 participants.

The second online debate of the EuropEdges project, hosted by PYLON ONE on September 11, 2024, was conducted in Greece and continued to focus on youth empowerment and policy shaping across  Europe. The event aimed to deepen discussions on the role of young people in actively creating inclusive youth policies and contributing to broader European policy dialogues. The debate achieved its goal, with 40 participants actively engaged throughout the session.

The third online debate of the EuropEdges project, hosted by USMA on September 20, 2024, was conducted in English and aimed to continue fostering discussions on youth empowerment, with a particular focus on policy development and sustainability within Europe’s diverse regions. The event achieved an impressive turnout, with 30 participants actively engaged in discussions, reaching its targeted goal. It showed the engagement in our activities by a relevant stakeholder based in Gorizia GECT/Go, the entity managing the European City of Culture in 2025 [Gorizia and Nova Goriza]. Its representative was present during the event and supported the project’s future. Indeed, GECT\Go is one of the partners of the FLIP – Financial Literacy for Innovative Participation in Europe(KA3)  project, which is based on EuropEdge’s findings and results.

The fourth online debate of the EuropEdges project, organized by Fundatia Ikaros on September 27, 2024, focused on the sensitive topic of mental health among youth. Titled “I’m Standing in Front of  You, See Me!” this event brought together approximately 46 participants to engage in discussions on understanding mental health, recognizing signs of anxiety and depression, and fostering supportive environments for young people.
